US Airways Dividend Miles - Automatic seat assignment (aisle/window) on upgrade post-upgrade improvements

In the email a few months ago about improvements to the upgrade process, they touted how they were going to try to assign us to aisle or windows in FC based on our profile preferences. However, since then I am batting .0000 in this actually happening. Just in the last few days, I was upgraded twice into an aisle seat when my profile clearly says window. And when I went to change my seat, there were window seats available. Also it doesn't give you your seat number when you've been upgraded -- why not? That would save me the hassle of going to the website and having to check/change my seat.

I'm never concerned about where I sit... most of my flights are 90 minutes or less and I'm just happy to be seated ahead of the curtain when my UG clears...

Yes, but if they are going to promote that they do seat you to your preference, they should at least attempt to do it.

Essentially they rolled back the improvements and hope to re-implement next month.
