Does the Plat line not work when you call from overseas?

I had a most unhelpful and unsatisfactory experience when I called today. Long wait on hold and a profound lack of product knowledge.

Does anyone know if you do get SC on the VN codeshare (booked as QF) from SGN-SYD?

If its a QF code then you should always get SC, regardless of operator.
Plat line works for me overseas in the past. Were you outside the plat business hours though?

Thanks, that is what I thought about SC, but the operator said no SC earn. Not only that but I cannot book the fare on-line through to OOL and I must show up within 2 days to the SGN office to show my CC (SGN being as far from HAN as BNE is from MEL).

Another reason to hate the QF programme. The number of places where you must show up to an office or airport to get an award ticket issued is incredible.
