Swiss International Airlines - UA ORD-BRU or LX YUL-ZRH in J?
I'm considering changing my YEG-YUL-ZRH on the 330 to try out the 767 YEG-ORD-BRU-ZRH as I haven't flown in the new united business and J class opened up for my dates completely(SAS and LH too!!). Can anyone. who has flown it, give me some insight if it is worth it to try the new product($90 change fee on top)? Will be traveling with a +1. I appreciate any J travel but I have flown in the old J SFO-ICN and I thought it was on level with a domestic config AC J flight lol.
Thanks in advance

While I can appreciate OP booked through Air Canada Aeroplan as this is less of an AC/AP question than a question about other airlines seats I'll move the thread over to the LH forum where experts on LX can add their input.

Don't change your flights!!!
With United you never know what you will get. It's hit or miss...
SWISS on the other hand usually delivers a solid product (both soft and hard factors)
Business class on SWISS is pretty good. Most seats have direct aisle access if that is important for you plus you have a 180° lie flat seat. If you can get seats in the "Stübli" (row 4 and 5) the cabin feels very private too
Also, another stopover will probably increase your travel time by a good 1-2 hours plus if flights are delayed (ORD!!!) you are at danger of missing your connecting flights in BRU
Short: DON'T CHANGE

BTW are you talking about LH and SAS J intra-Europe ie: BRU-ZRH? You do realize that it is just Y with an empty seat between you and +1, no? Not very exciting, never mind the hassle of ORD TSA etc with your UA itin. But YMMV!
Enjoy whichever way you go^

Clearly the direct flight in Swiss, excellent lay flat product, attentative and friendly service and outstanding food and wine offering. In addition you avoid the 3rd world ORDdeal with the TSA harassing, long waits at security. Brussels lounge in addition are not worth a 2hour wait, they are at the best at the UA worn carpet lounge level.

A little bit off topic- however if you DO have to wait in Schengen BRU the SAS lounge is not too bad (although the airport in general is really not very good).
Thanks for all the opinions. Reason why I considered UA was I have tried LX already and if it were comparable, to give the new UA product a try. I will keep my lxmflight and enjoy it once again ^:D

SAS Lounge at BRU isn't good either. No food except dried out cold cuts of cheese and ham + some salt pretzels. Also the drinks section only include softdrinks, wine and beer. Leffe is a big plus though!

It is much better than the alternatives although that is not saying a lot.
Is the large sign near the toaster with the SAS logo of something to the effect of "Do not catch the toaster on fire?" still there? I always wondered about that.
