JAL Mileage Bank - International Transit questions NRT - HND

Hi all,

My parents are due to fly from YVR-NRT and then connect to HND-SIN with a 9 hour layover next month. I just had a couple of questions.

1) I assume they have to collect their baggage from NRT and take it themselves to HND rather than being able to have their baggage checked all the way to SIN by JAL?

2) Does HND allow early check-in if they arrive say 6 hours early? If not then I guess they have to store their baggage at one of the baggage storage counters?

They are flying in J so I was hoping they'd be able to check in early at HND and then just stay in the lounge for a few hours as they don't really have any interest in spending a few hours in Tokyo despite my attempts at persuading them to. Thanks.

Yes, they will have to carry their luggages from NRT to HND. And you can check in early for the HND-SIN flight too. So they can just go straight to HND and check their bags.

JAL will add an evening NRT-SIN flight from Oct 28 2012. So next time if they are flying from YVR to SIN on JAL, they won't need to transfer from NRT to HND anymore.

ah...you sure you don't want to have them fly on CX instead? JAL only uses the regional business class seats on this route (but will have previous generation long-haul JAL SHELL FLAT seat on Sat once winter schedule begins) . You don't even get an angled flat seats!

haha unfortunately I'm paying for it so I couldn't afford CX.. so the JAL seats will be Sky Luxe then? Do you know if they get pyjamas as well?

SKYRECLINER actually. There's no PJs in C unfortunately, they only provide cardigan for use during the flight, i.e. you will have to return it.
