Guys, be careful - the T&Cs are misleading! Most likely you won't get points for third party bookings - despite the T&Cs let you assume that they do count. I was burned in the summer promo, see here (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/19225154-post20.html).

I had the double points post automatically for the FALL12 promotion, but the triple points for having booked via bestwestern.com did not post and I had to write to BW Rewards customer service to get that fixed. So heads-up to carefully check your accounts. A promotion that doesn't work as advertised without guests having to do extra work to collect on it is close to a failed promotion, isn't it? I could be wrong, but I suspect that the new BW website may be goofing some things up. Requests not being transmitted to properties, etc.

Or it could be just that they're slower. At this point (without me doing anything but waiting), I got my double plus triple posted for my two stays two weeks ago, only got my double posted for my two stays last week, and haven't had my second stay itself post from this week yet.

(I also had my BWR MC bonus 1000 points post, attributed to the first pair of stays.)

Also, note that they're confusingly (un?)sorted on the online statement. In mine, they apepar below (before) the stays they're attributed to! So if you're looking at the top (where new point postings usually appear), you can miss them!

(In fact, I think I may have missed them on a previous visit to my online statement, because I don't remember looking at the bottom on my previous visit.)

Update:

At this point (without me doing anything but waiting), I got my double plus triple posted for my two stays two weeks ago, only got my double posted for my two stays last week, and haven't had my second stay itself post from this week yet.

The pattern continues. I now have double points for 3 pairs of stays, but triple points only for the first 2 pairs of stays.

So they are indeed taking about an extra week to post the triple part after the double part posts.

Thus do not be alarmed when you at first see only double, but were expecting triple. Just wait another week or so...
