SAS EuroBonus - Turnaround in CPH?

I know, this is SK forum, but probably more CPH knowledge here than at the neighbours :)
What is the general opinion, can I do a HEL-CPH-HEL turnaround on AY?
The reason I'd be doing is that ex-CPH AY has much better Asian prices. Also the incoming is part of a XXX-HEL-CPH (where I took on the CPH leg, because it's just cheaper than terminating in HEL) but I could utilize the otherwise useless HEL-CPH leg as well.
Of course I could take a later CPH-HEL as well, but I'd rather just take a morning turnaround and have the rest of the day at the office than hang aroud in CPH a few hours.

It shouldn't be a problem, if you have checked in online. No security check needed in CPH, so just leave the aircraft, and get in line for boarding right away.

I've done a 25 min turnaround on LH cityline MUC-CPH vv, no problems at all if its the same aircraft and you do online checkin.
If you have no checked in luggage and arrive from Schengen (not much experience with non-schengen here) then you are good. Just make sure that you check in online for the return leg. You enter the gate and re-enter again when boarding is announced.
Very rarely it happened to me (perhaps once in 150 flights) that we were transported from the plane by bus -- if this happens then you end up in arrivals area directly. You will need to run through security to make it again -- and I am pessimistic about the success. Bus boarding is usually early. But I suppose that AY flies a bigger machine that in normal circumstances gets a jetway.
If you need to re-check luggage then no chance.

Not true. If you arrive by bus, you just take the stairs up to the departure hall (-> connecting flights), and no new security check is needed.

Right. My memory failed me on that one. Sorry. You are right. And now I remember that no security is needed then.

Thanks for all. I see the risk if it's a bus gate - AY tends to get far off gates...
No issue with the luggage, I'd just check it in when back in HEL - I can do that, can't I (with an 8 hrs "layover")

Anyone have any thoughts on immediate turns from non-Schengen countries?
I'm considering coming in on AC from YYZ and returning on the same aircraft (10:45am arrival, 12:15pm departure). When I did this in ZRH on DL a few years back, I received some extra screening before getting my boarding pass for the return flight, but I never even exited through Passport Control. The agent took my passport, itinerary, and frequent flyer card to her colleague to "run some checks," but eventually I was allowed to return.
Just wondering if it's possible and if so, how much extra screening I'll get...
Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure. I think I should be able to walk up the C/I desk in HEL and check the luggage in.
After all it turned out not to be an issue - I booked the later flight back to HEL, so I'll have 5 hrs in CPH and only 2 hrs in HEL. Probably will travel with hand luggage only, but given the long layover I can check everything in at CPH at leasure.

I recall that some years ago you could just stay at the gate where you arrived and wait there. No need to go through any checks. But intercontinental arrangements have changed many times since then, and I have been there quite some time. Somehow I happen to take IC flights through other hubs. Perhaps someone here has a fresher experience.
EDIT: the above is probably stupid. Most likely you need to check in in CPH, and I doubt if you can do this without going land-side, or at least crossing passport control for transfer centre. I do not recall a transfer facility in the non-schengen part of CPH.
