Hertz - MIA car rental over Christmas.... $1000+ Help!

Hi everyone,

I've done a couple of quick searches, and I keep getting really high rates of $650 to $1000++ for a weeks rental (Dec. 21st - 28th) out of MIA.

Any suggestions on how to drive this down? ...or should I live with a terrible advance booking charge.

Are you UK based ? if so use hertz.co.uk, prices are high but not anywhere near $1000
