Club Carlson - can I transfer points to airline miles from separate accounts?

I mean, two separate accounts with the same name, transfer points to the same airline program. Would that cause my accounts to be canceled or something?

I confess, what I did was using these two accounts for two stays in Park Plaza for 2*5W points...

What's the worst that can happen??

Lose 50K points that you were not entitled to in the first place..?? ;)

Your question is ambiguous. I don’t know if you are trying to transfer points from 2 different CC accounts into 1 or 2 airline accounts. In either case, the answer is yes, but with an asterisk depending on the meaning of your question.

I’m assuming that you have 2 CC accounts and want to convert the points to transfer miles to 1 airline account. If so, you will need to call CC to transfer your points from one CC account to the other and then do the conversion online. Whether or not they bust you when you do this is on you.

yes I've two CC accounts with the same name... all I've been wondering is that whether they could bust me when I transfer points into the same mileage account..

Your question is still not clear because you are incorrectly using terminologies. You cannot transfer points from 2 separate accounts to a singular airline mileage account. You can, however, transfer points from one account to another and then convert the combined total of points to a singular airline mileage account. If you want to convert two sets of points into a singular airline mileage account, it can’t be done as you can only have your Frequent Flier number attached to one points account. However, you can convert two sets of points into two separate airline mileage accounts, provided that they are two different airlines. (I.E. BA for one account; AA for the other)

For argument’s sake, let’s assume that you want all your points to be converted to AA miles.

1. Call Club Carlson
2. Transfer the balance of one of your accounts to the other
3. Convert the points to AA miles on CC’s website

No one here can tell you whether or not you will get busted when attempting step 2. There are much better measures in place to dip in the points pool more than once, and having two separate accounts with the same name isn’t one of them. What you did is a direct violation of the T&C’s, so what happens as a result of you tipping this off is anyone’s guess.

So, to answer your question, yes, they can most certainly bust you. Will they? Don’t know, and neither will anyone else.

Why not, of course you can…
