Credit Card Programs - RBC-BA 2 for 1

I have the RBC BA infinity visa card. After a 30k spend in a calendar year it gives a 2 for 1 companion pass. Only can be earned once per year. My question is that my wife has a supplementary card on the same account can she also earn another 2 for 1 on another 30k spend? Any insight would be appreciated.

I doubt the supplementary spend will do anything. Even though it's a separate card, the spend still flows to your BAEC account does it not? I haven't received my 2-for-1 yet but it was my understanding that it shows up on my BAEC after being triggered due to the 30k spend threshold.

If you want to rack up another 2-for-1, have your wife open up an RBC BA visa as the primary, with Avios going to her BAEC.

Makes sense . Thanks I'm close to my 2 for 1 after only 2 month so will see. I had a hell of a time with points however as ba opened a new account for me . Took some time to combine them. Only found out after a new avios card showed up at the house.

I had the same issue with a second avios account set up. BA fixed it quite quickly.

I am waiting a bit to cross the 30k spend threshold, since the ticket is good for two years, and not sure when I am going to use it.
