Mileage Run Discussion - Dl sju-sfo 9/7 -9/8

I'm doing a quick MR on Delta Friday 9/7 - 9/8.
9/7 JFK-SJU-JFK-SFO then a quick turn 1 hr on ground
9/8 SFO-MSP-JFK-SJU-JFK
11,595 miles $530.00 36hours

Any other Flyertalkers possibly doing this or a similar run on these dates?

36 hours? No wonder you're looking for some company as that's one long MR.

BTW you may want to check the relatively new "Flight Connect" (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/flight_connect.php) feature to both enter your flights while checking to see if others may be flying on any also.

interesting... i've been eyeing both an SJU and SFO MR from NYC... never thought of combining them. i am seeing this fare as $396 though... can't do the weekend of 9/8 but i'm thinking 9/22...

I nested a SJU-SFO-SJU RT for 317 inside a JFK-SJU-JFK RT which cost 206.
I needed the JFK-SJU as a positioning leg but 206 for that RT was pretty good. 3200 miles for $206 isn't pure mileage run material but for the positioning leg it isn't bad either.

So total was actually 523.00 for 11595 miles. 4.5 cents per RDM.

i actually found that routing for 9/28-9/29 for $475.00

plus everything is upgrade eligible--and SJU is a super easy one. All aircraft except SFO-MSP-JFK have AVOD (which is fine cause I'll be sleeping on those segments!)

Way cool find. The wife was able to get the OP's dates, same flights for $475. We were trying to work in a way from MSY, but it just wasn't happening. It was going through ATL and getting into SJU too late to catch the connector. Otherwise we'd be going with you.
