American Express Membership Rewards - denied spg card, b/c of previous 2 amex cards

I started my first app orama the first week of August which included the amex Hilton card and delta card. Once spg announced its new program I applied for the spg card shortly after applying for the two previous amex cards. I have contacted amex several times and today was told I was denied the spg card b/c of my two recent amex card apps and approvals. They told me I should wait 30 days and reapply. Of course by then I think this latest spg offer will expire.

Do I have any other options to try and get the spg card before the latested offer ends?

Have your SO apply & then use their points? I think you just need to wait and call it a lesson learned.

Hard lesson learned or just bad timing? I had planned on applying for the spg card once a great promotion was offered, well it was offered a week after I had already applied for the other two cards. I would have glady passed up the Hilton or delta card for the recent spg promotion but I guess it is to late.

Do think they well honor this offer a month from now if I apply again?
