Marriott Rewards (including Ritz-Carlton) - Connecting rooms at JW Marriott Ihilani

Hi- I'm looking to see if anyone has been able to book connecting rooms at the JW Marriott Ihilani. I see on the website that it states "connecting rooms not available", but it seems to say this at Marriott hotels even connecting rooms are available.

I have small children so connecting rooms are kind of a necessity. Looking at going in Feb/March and wanted to see if anyone out there had luck securing connecting rooms. Room type I'm looking at is Deluxe Ocean Front so not sure if the room type would dictate whether connecting rooms are available or not either.

That hotel has some "family rooms" located toward the front of the building, kind of away from the beach. But they are nice, they have a separate bedroom for children. I'd suggest in a case like this you talk to the hotel directly since they know what they have.

I've stayed there 8+ times and have never seen connecting rooms.
