airberlin topbonus - Status change length of time?

Just completed 24 flights yesterday on Air Berlin and it say 0 are required for silver status but it still shows as Classic. Today are flights 25 and 26, so the question is does anyone know how long it will take for the status to change?

That's sort of lame since they could process the status during the month but then only send out cards at the monthly mark. I have about 8 more segments this month which means I won't be able to use the 2nd piece of free checked luggage, the lounge or priority line till that changes.

but u will receive an additional month, that will compensate. that is if u were not to make ur qualifying segment on the 1st / beginnning of this month ;)

I did make status and now one level up which is pretty much all I need anyways to use priority lanes, free drinks in the 'waiting area' and the extra piece of luggage. Looks like they don't retroactively give the 20% extra award miles for those flights which were taken after I reached status level mid-month. Oh well, not that it would be much but just looking at the miles account.

tier level adjustments are only made on the 1st of every month, disregarding when u made the qualifying miles in the month before. any flight on new status (new month) shd give 20% extra.

Received my new silver status card, sadly it came in a plain normal envelope with one page of info with the card attached. There was also an application form for their credit card as well. Not so inspirational for all those AB flights I had to take.

LH has a much nicer package at the silver level, even AF gives out a luggage tag. Out of the three alliances this one seemed to have the most disappointing welcome package, not sure if it's a OW or AB thing.
