Recently I booked one 11K Bonus Points in Holiday Inn Express LAX Airport Hawthorn. I asumed that the 11K bonus points will be posted automatically after check-out like then 1K or 2K packages I had booked before. I need to stand by flight so left earlier without proper check out. One day later I got a call from the hotel and gave me three vouchers numbers for the 11K bonus points.

To get those 11K bonus points I have to manually log those vouchers into the PCR system, similar to the Ambassador points vouchers, but seems to be different.

What is more, eventhough depositted and added to the total balance, those points never appeared to be the qualifying points and never was added to the total of points I earned this year.

Just thought to let you guys know and be careful with the 10K or 11K bonus points package and always ask in front desk whether it is posted in systen or issued as vouchers upon check out!

Unless specified in the rate description, it's always vouchers. For instance:

Not necessarily to be the case for every hotel. for instance, the hotel i stayed had the following message:

11000 POINT PACKAGEMINIMUM ONE NIGHT STAY and earn 11000 point. you can use the point at any ihg brand hotel. free shuttle service to and from lax airport. free parking and enjoy hot breakfast bar.

It did not mention how the 11K to be posted and I was called to be given the 11K points voucher.

However, another hotel nearby has diffierent policy which indicated in T&C

11K BONUS POINT PKG Attention Priority Club Point enthusiasts! How does 11 THOUSAND bonus points per night sound to you? Book the 11K Bonus Point package and receive exactly that in addition to your normal points on the full folio. This is an incredible offer considering that 11 thousand bonus points is enough for a free night at some IHG brand hotels! Redeem the points toward future free nights for business or leisure at any IHG brand hotel, or, redeem the points for gift cards or brand merchandise. We want to be your number one choice when visiting the greater LA area. You will love our new hotel with free airport transportation, free high speed internet, free deluxe hot breakfast buffet, plush bedding package and trendy decor.Limited time offer and limited availability. Bonus points will be posted to your account at check out and may take several days before appearing in your account. These bonus points are not valid for current stay.

That is why I felt many members need to be informed the differences.

We also stayed at this HIX in May and the desk clerk gave me an envelope at check-in that contained the 3 vouchers that totaled 11,000 PC points (5k + 5k + 1k). My name was printed on the vouchers.

I received a voucher on a stay last year. (5,000 pts x 2) I got home and put the voucher into my account. That brought me to over 20,000 points and gave me Gold status. When the stay posted a couple of days later, I received the Gold bonus.

I wasn't aware when I booked the room that I was getting a voucher. After a moment of "ok, I thought this would be posted automatically", I was fine, but concerned that I would lose the voucher.
