Not sure when the change happened, but for the past 5 Christmas seasons I have or my family has booked stays using stay certificates in various Hawaii properties.
It appears the Grand Hyatt Kauai and Maui properties no longer are accepting the inspire certificates. I was on the phone today with an agent who checked availability from December thru late February. NOTHING :td:
I can tell you from much past experience, that this was NEVER a problem using the stay certificates. In the past they only blocked out New Years Eve. Now they block out months perhaps even the whole year I don't know.
Anyhow switched over to Virtuoso reservation at the Fairmont Maui instead of 4 years of Christmas in Kauai. Hard to believe the Fairmont with Virtuoso breakfast and other benefits is the same price as the Hyatt Maui.
