Great find! Works in reverse as well. Same day turns can be had on Saturdays for $227 rt from RDU in September.

can be booked as o/w.

Since this is not a nonstop, there's potential for decent one way fares to dfw, ord, and DCA for those traveling light. ;)

Good deal ^ Wish it let you route via JFK though.

That was my first thought, but the routing rules prevent it :(.

DL seems to be matching with fares in the 236-240 range with decent availability all the way until Feb 2013

It's possible to add another MR with this. RDU-ATL-LAX-JFK-SJU-JFK-LAX-ATL-RDU. AI ~560 and ~13,000mi. Not sure if this routing will require an overnight, but for those adventurous enough could be worthwhile. 6 of these and 3,360 out of pocket will get you Platinum on DL.

For $219, I saw LAX-JFK-RDU and v.v. Also LAX-MIA-RDU. These are for mid-week departures in October. :)

Airlines always love punishing us who like a good fare but work "normal" hours :(

Wasn't this thread originally labeled as SAN-RDU $206 nonstop? I had one heck of a time trying to find a SAN-RDU nonstop. No wonder - it doesn't exist!!! Can't find any nonstop RDU-LAX or LAX-RDU non stops either.

No, it wasn't. The title did - and does - contain "RDU" and "206.- a.i." but didn't mention anything about "SAN" or "nonstop". You're probably thinking of some different thread.

Right. The rules of the AA fare (gone now) specified that travel needed to be via DFW, ORD or STL (though the latter isn't served from RDU, I think), but as others have mentioned, DCA and JFK may have worked as connecting points.

The DL fare discussed above (from $220.- a.i.) is still active.

STL-RDU no longer exists for AA (when did it? I don't recall, maybe only right after the TWA acquisition). STL only has ORD, DFW, LAX, MIA, LGA, and DCA on AA.

They had it in 2008 because I last flew it in May, 2008. It was an ERJ from 2004 until it ended sometime after May, 2008. Sorry I can't be more specific.
