I'm at the David IC Tel Aviv now in an exec. room ($460/nt) booked through a Virtuoso agent.

I wasn't offered any room upgrades. They gave us $85 in hotel credit towards food/beverages/services, complimentary wi-fi (outrageous that they would even normally charge for Internet use!) and I was told at check-in that they were supposed to deliver some exclusive care products, but as it was a last minute booking, those haven't arrived yet. That was yesterday aft, so I might say something.

Am I not entitled to a room upgrade at this property as well, and should I inquire about it with the front desk today?

Aren't the terms that you get upgraded "if available"? Did you inquire about an upgrade at check-in? That's the most appropriate time to do it. It certainly wouldn't hurt to do so today, however.

Most high end hotels charge for internet, that's not new nor exclusive to this property or this brand.

As BeerHunter mentioned, a lot of higher end chains/properties still do charge for internet access surprisingly enough. It has been a bit of a annoyance for me also, like many.

I've found recently that IC's in particular are getting much better at offering free internet, and specifically mentioning that they offer it to me because of my Ambassador status when staying with them.

I was told that nights that booked through travel agents are not considered qualifying nights

This probably is true for bookings made on third-party websites, but bookings made through a Virtuoso agent definitely do count for status and earn points.

The Virtuoso upgrade usually is a "one-category upgrade based on availability at check-in".

And as others have mentioned, charging guests $15-$25 unfortunately is quite common at high-end hotels.

As a RA, I don't need Virtuoso upgrade unless it is stackable.

In my experience, it has been.
