Flying Blue (Air France, KLM, and Other Partners) - How to spend 55000 Flying Blue miles (from the US)

Hi,

I have recently moved from Europe to the US (Houston), and I'm looking for ideas on how to spend my balance of 55000 Flying Blue miles as I probably won't be flying Skyteam that much (if any at all) over the next 1-2 years.

I would prefer not to spend the miles flying back to Europe, so any ideas of redemption (on partner airlines) to other destinations would be nice.

You can use the miles for an intra-US reward on DL. You may need to be a bit flexible with dates though (as there may not be much availability on DL for FB members).

DL or AeroMéxico to south america perhaps? Or KE to Asia?

Aeromexico usually has a good availability, maybe you can go to the Caribbean for a long weekend.

50k for a 1-way C-class award would be my best guess

Delta to Australia? Probably not enough points for return though. :(

Right now, you might be able to get 2 promo RTs to Europe for 25k each, or wait and get a BC RT for 50K. Fuel surcharges are horrible though.
