US Airways Dividend Miles - LAX > OGG, OGG > SFO Upgrade Possibilities on United

I booked round trip tickets with points from CLT to Maui (OGG). Total itinerary is CLT > IAH > LAX (2 day layover), LAX > OGG, OGG > SFO, SFO > CLT. All flights are on United except the return SFO to CLT leg. I have economy plus seating reserved on all flights (had to purchase it for LAX > OGG flight). Checked last night and the United seat chart shows I think 6 first class seats available on LAX > OGG flight and 8 seats available on OGG > SFO flight.

I 99% sure I know the answer here, but anything I can do to wiggle my way onto the upgrade list? Any chance of getting bumped day of if not enough elites are on these flights?

Odds are possible you'll be offered a TOD upgrade on the LAX-OGG flight at a relatively reasonable price. You can't get on the upgrade list as a US preferred, buying up at OLCI or at the airport is probably your only option.
