Hi Everyone,
I know we discussed this in the Olympics thread, but figured I'd start a new one to highlight for those trying to get tix for the Paralympics that begin in two weeks.
Approximately 2.5 million tickets have been sold for the Paralympic Games, a massive record! Opportunities to get tickets are now very limited.
If you're looking for tickets, 2012 Ticket Alert, which was super helpful for Olympic Tix is still running their feed for Paralympic tickets.

The sales over the past few weeks have been amazing. At the end of July you could still buy the £30 tickets that I have for the last night of the athletics. Now you can't get a ticket for any event in the main Olympic Park unless more are freed up. The low prices have really helped. My brother never considered taking his kids to the Olympics in case they got bored and he had to leave. He's picked up £5 tickets for them for the Saturday daytime session in the athletics.

I suspect sales picked up during the Olympics, after seeing the dressage on TV Mum decided she wanted to join me at the para version but I couldn't get another ticket.

45,000 tickets released today: http://www.london2012.com/paralympics/news/articles/more-paralympic-tickets-now-sale-1408596.html
As noted above, good choice across a range of venues and disciplines.
I'd already bought mine a few weeks ago before the made rush to snap them up!

Gone already :(
I would have loved to finally get inside the velodrome.

It appears that LOCOG will follow their Olympic ticket plan for the Paralympics. They'll be 2-3 releases of tickets each day through the end of the Paralympics.

Keep looking - I'd done so periodically over the past week and lucked out today!

BBC News online report - Paralympic Games: Thousands of Olympic Park tickets on sale (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-19346880)
Paralympics organisers have put 100,000 tickets for ground entry to the Olympic Park during the Games up for sale.
Also, a further 40,000 tickets across a range of sports, including athletics and wheelchair basketball, have gone on sale on Locog's website.
The non-sporting tickets cost up to £5 and are for various days throughout the Paralympics but do not grant admission to any sporting venues on the Park.
[...]
The non-event tickets cost £5, and £1 for those aged under 16 or over 60, and are available for morning sessions between 10:00 BST and 15:00 BST and afternoon sessions from 16:00 BST until 21:00 BST.
I'm not sure how the two sessions for ground entry to the Olympic Park will work - is the Park to be cleared in the hour between the daytime and afternoon/evening sessions? Perhaps that timing meshes with the events in the various Olympic Park venues, I haven't investigated.
Actually managed purely by chance to pick up a few ground entry tickets late this afternoon whilst forlornly looking for event tickets. (Well not entirely forlornly, I did manage to pick up a couple of event tickets but it subsequently dawned on me that I almost certainly won't be able to make it to said event, doh! Already found takers for these of course - Olympic & Paralympic tickets must never go to waste after all!)

Good question ! There's stuff going on right theough the day so the park won't be closed and can't be cleared of "morning session" ticketholders half way through the day. I would assume that, as there isn't that much on the park to keep non-event attendees occupied for a whole day, the morning folk will leave of their own accord.
Managed to pick up some Paralympic tickets for a "marathon day" (Athletics in the stadium in the morning, Volleyball at Excel in the afternoon and Basketball at North Greenwich in the evening) this afternoon. :)

I also suspect it's to regulate admission into the park vice getting people out...they'll want people to spend money at the Megastore, vendors, etc.

Managed to get one more swimming ticket at lunchtime today so it's still possible if you sit there and hit back and refresh enough times.
