Dear all,
I want to book a flight early September MNL-MEX-MNL as an award ticket, and with my AF miles
Frankly here is where I am lost... Fastest route (and probably cheapest route) is not via Europe and I have no idea (having searched google etc) how to book an award ticket on Skyteam with AF miles but as Korean as the carrier.
Any and all advice gratefully received
Thanks
Sim

To book anything other than the itineraries suggested by the Flying Blue award booking tool, including flights on KE, you will need to call an agent.
From Switzerland: Tel: (+ 41) 0 84 800 00 23 [0800-2200 Mon-Sat]
From The Philippines: : 1 800 1441 0275 (National toll free) [0800-1800 Mon-Fri]
From Mexico: (+52) 5547387048 [0800-2000 Mon-Fri Toronto time]
Korean blackout dates for 2012 (dates for which award travel cannot be booked)
International flights (excl. USA/Canada): 1-8 Jan, 20-25 Jan, 14 Jul-15 Aug, 28 Sep-3 Oct, 22-31 Dec
USA/Canada flights: 1-8 Jan, 20-25 Jan, 18 May-1 Jul, 14 Jul-15 Aug, 28 Sep-3 Oct, 7-31 Dec

Call FB they are quite helpful with this kind of award tickets, they will give you all your options.

As a time-efficient connection, I would check for availability on:
Delta MNL-NRT
Aeromexico NRT-MEX
The return is less compelling,
Aeromexico MEX-TIJ-NRT
Delta NRT-MNL
or
Aeromexico MEX-LAX
Delta LAX-NRT
Delta NRT-MNL

Can I book oneways with KE? For example HKG to YVR via ICN?
Is there an award chart somewhere?

Yes, you can book one-ways with KE. (50% of round-trip miles). For the miles needed use the FB miles finder. Just google "Flying Blue miles finder burn".
