United MileagePlus (Consolidated) - The Concur E+ Hole has been plugged

I remember the 'hole' being mentioned somewhere in an existing thread, so Mods, feel free to move if necessary.

I'm a long-term, hard-way Silver, as many of you know. Ever since the new E+ policy went into effect on 3/3, I've noticed that as long as I book through my corporate travel agent's Concur site, I've been able to grab E+ seats at booking - although I couldn't CHANGE the seat to another E+ seat without triggering the upcharge. As I recall, a couple of other FTers noticed the same 'hole' in the system.

Well, I'm sorry to report that I think the hole has been plugged. I've booked 2 itineraries in the last week (EWR-AUS for October and PHL-SAT for early Sept.), and I wasn't able to confirm E+ seats for any of the legs. Even a leg that was (at least for now) on a pmCO 738 without E+ wouldn't confirm forward of the exit rows. So it looks like Concur users will have to play the T-24 lotto with everyone else.

It's good they caught the error and fixed it.

Yes, it is good that they found an error in their software that regulates customer benefits and fixed it.

Now I just wish they'd spend more time and money fixing the errors in their software where customers are supposed to benefit but currently don't (like almost everything associated with the upgrade process).

If they didn't employ IT do fix customer benefiting errors they'd likely not have any IT at all. ;)
