Hi folks! Today my boss got a targeted offer for the American Express Open Gold Card with 75,000 bonus points after $5,000 spend in about 6 months. There's an invitation code in the accompanying letter. You may want to watch your email and see if you get a similar solicitation.
For those of you experienced in such things, what happens if I input the invitation code and then change the information in the application? The application comes partially pre-filled, but it's not hardcoded in, all the info can be changed. If I use the invite code and fill out the application with my own information, will it automatically be denied? Or do I have a shot at getting it? (I did tell my boss about the offer and suggested he should go for it, but he wasn't interested.)
Sorry, at this time I don't feel comfortable sharing the invite code publicly. Thanks for understanding.
