Marriott Rewards (including Ritz-Carlton) - Looking for Marriotts in South Africa

Any idea when they may be coming to South Africa? I'm going on a safari and would like a nice option in both Joberg and Cape Town.

Marriott usually puts hotels on its website within a year of their opening. Since there's nothing listed for South Africa, I think you're out of luck.

Both Hilton and IHG have properties in South Africa, both in Joburg and Cape Town. There are also one or two Hyatt and Starwood properties, I forget the locations.

FWIW I would also love to see Marriotts in Jo'Burg, Cape Town and even Durban. However I can recommend the Southern Sun properties, although their loyalty program is nothing special.

In the Hilton forum, a poster just posted a news article about the Pezzullo resort soon to become a Conrad hotel.
