Hi All,

So I have ticketed round trip award booked from PHL-ICN(stop)-HKD(Des)-ORD-PHL. When we return home, our flights are HKD-ORD-PHL, our HKD-ORD leg arrives in ORD at 11:30am, our departure to PHL is at 9pm. Now I want to change our ORD-PHL to the next day at 11am, which would be under 24 hours. I called in to see if I could do this and the phone agent is saying this is considered a stopover and since I already have one in this itinerary, its not allowed. Are they correct since its within the US or are they wrong since it is part of my international leg and I'm allowed this layover in ORD as long as its under 24 hours? I tried searching the threads but came up empty with this answer.

Thanks

Less than 24hrs for international travel is not a stopover.

The agent was wrong.

Yea thats what I thought. Calling back tonight to get this changed. I knew I wasn't going anywhere with this agent since she had to resort to the routing rules and then to a supervisor, I doubt she even asked. Thanks everyone

I have noticed more agents are resorting to Supervisors for everything. I think these must be pmUA Agents. I expect pmCO agents would be able to work the system appropriately.

Called last night and had it changed within a couple minutes. I think I got an India call center. Why are overseas agents better than US:eek:
