United MileagePlus (Consolidated) - United H Class Fare Rules

I have a United H Class Ticket and I would like to know if it is possible to change the name on the ticket to a friend. I purchased the ticket using a Continental E-Certificate good for a free roundtrip which has since expired, but it allowed me to change the travel dates without a fee (currently booked for travel in September 2012). Since I cannot redeposit the credits back on the E-Certificate, is it possible to change the name on this type of fare with or without a fee?

Would need to know the fare basis, although I don't know if I have seen an H fare that allows a name change without the change fee/fare difference.

Sounds like OP had a 'free roundtrip travel' voucher, hence he could change the dates. I don't think these issued any longer?

I am pretty sure you cannot change name on any ticket, regardless of fare basis. For refundable tickets, you'll need to refund the ticket and book a new one with the new name.

Since it was purchased with a round trip voucher, I was able to change the dates with no fee. However, unable to change the name since it was already ticketed.
