The Thai web site announces the use of a new 777-300ER on the BKK - BRU route from October 2012. This route is now 10 months old and seems to be selling well. On every occasion I have seen the 30 Royal Silk class seats filled. The new equipment has 42 bussines class seats.

This is great news for our BRU-BKK flight in Royal Silk that we have scheduled for December. Fingers crossed that the second plane arrives as planned in October.
Hmm.....I'm no expert but 2 aircraft do not seem like enough to sustain BKK-NRT, BKK-LAX and BKK-BRU

I'm booked with a confirmed seat in first class on TG 935 from BRU-BKK in December 2012, on a 777-300ER, and, according to thai's website, there is first class on this flight at least through the end of January, so either the seatmaps on these flights are all wrong, and they're flying the 2-class new 777-300's, or the seatmaps are accurate, and the press release is wrong and they are delaying/changing the routes for the new 2-class 777s
Is there any recourse if I am booked in first, and the plane is actually a 2-class plane?

Please see this thread http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/thai-airways-royal-orchid-plus/1323233-777-bkk-bru.html (OPS, merge?)
I'm booked myself in F early November and it looks like it's going to be the 9W 777.

I was wondering whether anyone knows the actual seat width on the First Class on the 777-300 ER that Thai leased from Jet Airways. Seatguru shows the 77J configuration with a 35" wide first class seat but the video I found on youtube looks much smaller than 35".
I am confirmed in a First Class seat on December 1st from BKK to BRU; and the seat configuration that the Thai Airways agent described matches the 77J layout and she confirmed it was a 77J with a seat width of 22". Has seat guru always been wrong on this description?
If it really is only 22" I will probably keep an eye open for United Global First routing through NRT.

any updates on the seating from BRU-BKK in first class? Do these seats have a "suite" like feel with privacy doors etc?

Yep, "suites" in first class with closing doors, etc. Doors do not go to ceiling but are very private and great for sleeping. There's more info on the last pages of this thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/thai-airways-royal-orchid-plus/1323233-777-bkk-bru.html
