Hi There,

i am flying out from MUC to BOS on Aug 18, booked in Economy and tried to find a "good" seat. I know 26 AC and HK cant be prereserved (am SEN) since long anymore but the 26 D-G always came in handy.

Now i see that Economy starts in Row 22, showing Rows 22-25 as "preferred", Row 26 D-G seems to be 4 seats instead of 3 now and it looks like the Galley in front of row 26 is gone.

Therefore some questions:

- Is Row 22 any good? Standard Bulkhead with limited leg space?
- How is Seat 23D (Given there are only 3 seats in front, one might think one could stretch its legs a bit more to the side)
- What is a "good" seat in economy other than 26ACHK (still hoping to get one of those at checkin
- What is the booking situation like? (Currently no miles upgrade possible)

Thanks for your input and kind regards

H.

I'm just coming off an A346 with the same configuration, was in 24G, so could check out the seats around me.
Personally I would not go for 22, standard bulkhead row, might has a little bit more legroom, but no chance to stretch your legs.
23 D and G are quite nice, and indeed there is more space. But be aware that the tables are in the armrests, so they are fixed and make the seats a little more narrow than standard ones. I could not figure out about the PTV, obviously there is one missing and the others are not straight in front of you but staggered. I assume there is one in the armrest as well.
Apart from 26 ACHK and 23 DG I would consider none of the other seats better than others.

I was feeling the same back in May when I was planning a YVR-FRA. As it happened, the only and best seat available to us was the last row! I fretted about legroom, being served dinner last, and being miles from the bathroom but in the end things worked out fine and we had a great flight! Its all in the planning. Firstly, MrsT and I had a lovely seafood salad and a great glass of wine at the airport - so no need to eat onboard. Secondly, using my *Gold status, we boarded early and had masses of room for our hand baggage. Once installed, we met our delightful crew members and to our pleasure, discovered and enormous bathroom right next to us that Seat Guru knows nothing about!! And finally, we pushed back and by the end of the runway, had told our crew not to serve anything til breakfast, popped an Advil PM and next thing, we were there! With the right preparation you'll have a great trip.
