Going on my first trip home to my mother country in September (first time in many years) and was wondering if there is a Fast Track @ ARN for E+ pax?
What lounge is used in ARN for AK/KL and is it worth visiting?

Been a while but IIRC the fast track is for SK only. Not that it makes much of a difference. The lounge is a contract lounge, Servisair I think. Worth a quiet (or not so quiet) time with a drink and two peanuts, not much more.

Hello Cupart ;)
I don't remember any fast track at security in T2. Of course, you have the usual priority check-in/boarding. For the lounge, see my recent post in the AF forum :

Enjoy "home" :)

Thanks for the reply mon cher Goldorak and to MichielR ^.
First time flying to Sweden on a non SAS flight which will be nice
Looks like I'll be spending more time in Stockholm and as little time as possible at ARN then.
Why won't SK (or the Nordic airports in question) allow other airlines to use their fast track? So both ARN and HEL doesn't have it, and only until recently, I'm made believe E+ pax can use the one at CPH (but probably to make up for the lousy lounge they let their Biz and E+ pax use)...
Regarding the T2 lounge, it's an airport lounge. I would rate it better than the one in T5 which was really crap, but there's still nothing to write home about.

If a crappy lounge was the criterion, we would have a lot more fast tracks...
I realise that AFKL have changed terminals to the low-cost T2 since I was last in ARN so my pointing you to Servisair in T5 is not too helpful I guess. In any case with the Arlanda express there is no need to spend more time at the airport than strictly necessary.
Enjoy the mother country!

with the Arlanda express there is no need to spend more time at the airport than strictly necessary.I usually order a taxi straight to my destination (Östermalm) at a flat rate. A bit more expensive, but for sure faster and more comfortable. Arlanda Express may be fast, but it is seriously overpriced and if you just miss a train, it suddenly takes you twice as long to get downtown. Provided the metropolitan rail system hasn't come to a complete standstill for half a day or so, as happens all the time. Mussolini obviously never ruled Sweden.
the lousy lounge they let their Biz and E+ pax useE+ yeah, but Biz pax get to use the CPH Apartment lounge, which is very much nicer, and usually pretty quiet.

AF and KLM recently moved to another terminal, so there is no longer even a possibility to share the fast track.
There is a fast track line for the security, which just takes you to the front of the queue. Every time I've passed thru there, it's been a max of 4 ppl in line, so it doesn't seem to be much of an issue.
The current lounge at T2 is pretty crappy, so don't expect much - but at least it looks better than what they used to have in T5. Still, I'm looking forward to their own lounge which is under construction. The current one is nothing you would write home about, but it's fine for an hour or so.
One note on taxis: If you opt to take a taxi from the airport, be aware that those waiting outside T2 are usually the worst "scammers". Their prices tend to be close to 2x what the larger companies charge. Ask the attendant (who should be close by) to get you a "Taxi Stockholm", "Taxi 020" or "Taxi Kurir" and you will be fine though.

I usually get the bus directly (ok with a few stops on the way) to T-Centralen and walk "home" to norr mälarstrand. IMO good value for money and I get a welcomed sightseeing being back home from the bus ;)
This time staying in a hotel near Sergels/T-Centralen so the bus it is again ^

I have always used Taxi Stockholm for some reason and kind of stick to them :)

Several of the taxi companies have been running specials this summer, so if going to/from ARN, check them out. There were ads in many places in Stockholm and also online. One I saw had 420 kr to ARN.

Not bad, if you're nowhere close to the ARN bus.
Flygbussarna.se is SEK 396.00 for two return BUT only a better deal if you are going/leaving close to where the bus stops are (obviously) ^

So, I checked in from the hotel in Stockholm and when printing the BP from one of the machines at ARN, none of our BP's had the Sky Priority icon printed. The FF number was there but nothing else to indicate the FB status (Only number and no mentioning of Elite+ or FBG).
There is a Sky Priority entry point through security on the left hand side when coming from check in. Didn't have to use it as there were 4 people in the queue in total, but could imagine when EasyJet and the other LCC have passengers wanting to get through security is worth every penny.
Went to the lounge upstairs (turn to the left after security - no signs but at the staircase only) and had to show our FB cards as the sky priority was missing from them. The lady checking the BP's told us that this happens and she didn't know why. The lounge is not very inspiring and I didn't find any free wi-fi either, but we only stayed for around 20 min anyway as recommended by fellow FT'ers.
Boarding was enforced with Sky Priority to right and the rest to the left ^
So, terminal 2 is not very inspiring BUT its a fine little terminal IMO.
One thing that still annoys me is that Priority marked bags still don't come out as priority at some out stations. We counted 56 bags before our came and only 3 bags that came out among these (before ours) had the yellow priority label :(

ARN seems to be pretty bad for this. When I was there in June, it took also forever to have my bag delivered on the carousel.

Unfortunately, it was not much better coming back to ZRH tbh :(
Funny thing is that when leaving AMS my other half saw our bag waiting with all the other priority tagged bags (for the ARN flight) when the loading took place and were loaded last.
OK, priority bags loaded last must in theory mean they come out first from the hold at arrival, but will be placed at the bottom of the loading cart by the baggage handlers and in turn come out last when unloading onto the belt
So, technically, this means that KLM do in fact unload Priority bags first, as they go last in but from the plane to the belt it all get's reversed and we end up among the last :p

I don't think baggage handlers give a hoot about labels, or anything else. It is extremely rare for me to check a bag, haven't done so for many years, but I do recall once checking a bag to ARN (Christmas was coming up). Upon arrival, I positioned myself at the very beginning of the belt, and through the flaps I could watch the carts being unloaded. Needless to say, my bag was one of the last to arrive, so I had plenty of time to study proceedings. At one point, a cart arrive piled dangerously high with bags. A couple on top had large red "FRAGILE" stickers. A handler climbed up on the cart, picked up the first FRAGILE back, and threw it down on the belt, where it landed upside down with a thud. Nice attitude! Now would you expect this guy to give your priority bag special treatment? If anything, he would probably intentionally put it aside and leave it till last.
