AJC: New terminal means long, winding walks for some (http://www.ajc.com/business/new-terminal-means-long-1498046.html)

I have not made this trek yet and do not mind walking after long flights, but I could definitely see where some may be frustrated by this!! For as much as they spend, you'd think they could PLAN it a bit better.

The 1.2 million-square-foot terminal clearly makes the world's busiest airport even bigger, but not necessarily better in every aspect. A more sprawling facility contributes to longer distances inside the airport. The new entry-exit point created by the terminal both streamlines and complicates things for travelers and is potentially more costly for off-airport parking businesses and other shuttle operators to serve two locations.

The long walk affects passengers on flights arriving at Concourse E. Depending on the gate used they face winding treks of anywhere from one-quarter to six-tenths of a mile to get to the Customs check at the adjacent new terminal. Concourse E, which already existed, still services some international flights. The new terminal its own group of gates, Concourse F, but they are much closer to Customs.
