Florida - Amazed how many fla resorts charge resort fee then charge for umbrella and parking.

Been searching for a a nice Florida resort. Most resorts on the beach don't supply umbrella and some don't even supply chairs. I can see hotels in south beach charging for parking but some resorts in the middle of no where should be free or included in resort fee.

Here's info from one hotel
A daily Resort Fee of $20 plus tax will be added to your rate and includes Internet, beach ferry and more.
and another
. The resort has a $17 per day resort fee which includes in room wireless internet access, public area wireless high speed internet access, local calls, 800 access calls, newspaper delivery to room, in room-coffee, beach chairs, beach towels and access to the fitness center.
So no it's not a tax paid to govt.
I just feel a resort should have these perks included in the resort price.

There are plenty of jurisdictions that charge hotel or bed taxes, but the resort fee is mainly an underhanded way for hotels to advertise a lower price than they are willing to sell rooms for.
