a] does anyone know the minimum fare to upgrade with points to Upper Class on travel from LHR ??

b] is it possible to actually originate from New York with the same points required - or - would that be 2 separate awards ??

What class of travel are you flying in? If economy then L fare, ir Premium then K fare. It's all pretty clearly explained on the VS web site here (http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/gb/frequentflyer/spendmiles/upgrade_table_2012.jsp).

I don't quite understand your second question but yes, as explained on the VS web site, upgrades and fares can originate from any port.

A) L from economy, S from PE (not K)
B) no, that would be two sectors so two rewards required
