I am pretty new to international travel and will be flying China Eastern from JFK to Shanghai in October. Not the best airline, but that wasn't my choice. Is there a way to get status qualifying miles on any US domestic airline for this flight? If so, how do I go about getting that?
Thanks for your input!

If your ticket class qualifies for miles, than you can sign up with Delta.
Both Delta and China Eastern are Skyteam members.

I am a Delta Skymiles member, so How do I let them know about the China Eastern flight to get credit?

Make sure you are booked into a class that accrues miles on DL.
