I do not know the answer, but would be curious to find out.

Keep in mind, whether a sparkling white wine comes from the region of Champagne is far from the only indicator of its quality.

the booze offered on the TXL - LAX, and the TXL MIA that I have taken was mediocre at best. AA has a way better selection. AB isn't Ryanair, but be prepared for no frills

I hope that AB serve chamgne in Business & not a cheap alternative :eek:. Anyone able to comment? Thanks.

Can anyone confirm the type/brand/origin of the bubbles served? I hear Prosecco may be on the menu? Thanks.
I will report back (of course!) after flying AB for the 1st time...in a few days time.

yes. AB offers Champagne in C. (meaning the real french stuff not the american naming convention for prosecco) ;)
however dont remember the Brand... not my favorite beverage.
cheers

They do. And they even know how to spell it. :D And - just as a side remark - Champagne can be by far cheaper compared to a good bottle of Winzer Riesling Sekt. And a good bottle of Riesling Sekt can be much better than the bubbles defined as "champagne" by our brothers and sisters in the colonies.

Thanks to all for their replies ^

p.s. I fully realsie that there are very palatable sparkling wines out there and that champagne is not the holy grail (:eek:) but my OP clearly emphasised my concern about "cheap alternatives" not the better ones :) Once again, thanks to all.

p.p.s Mrs NoY is very happy at this news - as I said before, I will report back with the details on this oh-so-important matter :D

Ah, the AUH routes get the champagne. No doubt in my mind influenced by EY ;)

OK, the champagne in Business AUH-HKT this week was;

Champagne Drappier Carte Blanche Brut.

Mrs. NoY enjoyed several glasses on the early morning departure, hic!
