Please help before my 24 hour courtesy hold on my awards travel expire.

Right now, I have:

JFK-LAX (november)
LAX-CPH (june)
CDG - LAX (july)

Can I add one more leg for the awards travel on economy class (uggh)

CPH to CDG so I won't have to pay for the one way on my own.

so it would be

JFK -LAX (nov)
LAX-CPH (early June)
CPH - CDG (late June)
CDG - LAX - (July)

Any itinerary is possible, if you have enough miles.

The easiest way to see if an itinerary is available is to try to book it. Of course, some complex itineraries are bookable by phone but not on the web site, so this is not entirely foolproof.

I think the four segment itinerary has too many stopovers, but I did not try to book it and so I have not confirmed that this is the case.

You will not be able to do that under a single award. A return award can have one stopover and one open-jaw (which is what your original itinerary was) - but here you've got 2 stopovers.

That's not to say you can't do it - it'll just cost more. Worst case this would price out at 12,500 miles more than the original (in effect, splitting off the first leg to be it's own award), but it's possible that it would be cheaper with CPH-CDG as a separate award instead.
