I currently have the Delta Platinum card, but am looking to change my card to something that doesn't tie me to Delta only. When I got the card it made a lot of sense I was traveling a lot for work on Delta, but am no longer doing that and now Delta is reducing flights out of my home base.

My company will cover an annual fee up to $95/yr and I pay my balance in full every month. Although I'm not traveling for work anymore I would still be able to use points for personal travel if possible. Any thoughts on the green card vs blue sky preferred? Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't really see the benefit of paying more for the gold card. It appears to have nearly the exact same benefits as green.

I prefer the Amex Starwood -hotel benefits (gold if you spend $30k in a calendar year) and bonus on air transfers. I canceled my Gold Card (had over 20 yrs) as I don't see benefits from Membership reward program anymore -
I also like Chase Sapphire (no fx for intl travel) for travel bonuses and has both star and OneWorld partners to transfer to

Will your company only reimburse an annual fee on an Amex card, or on any card?

Maybe it's time to get a Sapphire Preferred (also $95/yr), and convert the DL Platinum to an Options card to avoid annual fees?
