Gaming Loyalty Programs - Total Rewards Card Upgrades?

Received an email last week that I am being upgraded to Diamond from Platinum. Wondering if anyone else received this. I've only had one trip this year but had 10000 tier points on a weekend so I would get it on my next trip anyway. Being a Plat holder I did not get DIAD in the system but was accidentally given a Diamond card when I asked about DIAD at the TR desk. So I enjoyed the lounges and VIP services that weekend anyway. Look forward to being a legitimate Diamond player now.

They used to have a DIAD in a day promo, if you got 4000 points in one day you were given DIAD (for the rest of the year, which would keep your status until 3/2013)--so did you get 4000 points in one day? (6 am-5:59 am, is the day in most TR casinos).
In Atlantic City, even if you are Diamond, they had been charging those diamonds with under 25,000 points, a $10 fee to enter. AC's clubs have hot food and drinks all day (not like in LAS, which has chips and dip for the hours they are open, but for 2 hours (or so), they have chicken wings and one other hot dish--not very upscale for a (nearly) top tier club.

I saw a note somewhere that it is either 3000 or 4000 depending on the casino.
If it is 3000 for the casino where OP got 10,000 in 3 days, he would have to have gotten (at least) 3000 in one day--which may be the reason he was now diamond.

I earned more than enough for DIAD, the only issue is that you are not eligible for DIAD if you hold a higher tier than gold. My last trip was in March and I was upgraded last week. I was only curious if anyone else has seen something like this happen before. My online profile shows Diamond with 800 points to go till Diamond
