American Express Membership Rewards - Request Targeted Amex Offer if Spouse Received it

Hi all!
My wife recently received a targeted Delta/Amex offer (50,000 bonus w/$1000 spend in 3 months, free bags for 4, 20% off inflight svcs, waive first year fee). Thinking about jumping on this for her. We usually both get the same targeted offers, but I have not received one. We're both SkyMiles members so it's not that. Is it possible to request the targeted offer for myself as well?

Welcome to Flyertalk.

Discussion of Delta credit cards is normally hosted in the Skymiles forum, which is located here:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/delta-skymiles-665/

However, I have moved this question to the American Express forum because the card brand really has no bearing on the answer. You may, of course, "request" anything, but it is improbable that American Express will extend the offer to anyone who was not targeted.

To check to see if your account is targeted for any current offers:

1. Open a private or incognito browser tab
2. Go to americanexpress.com
3. Click: Cards > View All Personal Charge & Credit Cards
4. Click: View Your Special Offers

Mia,

I've seen this mentioned in several posts here, and I've tried it tons of times, and I never have a link for "View Your Special Offers." I've been logged in, logged out, cleared cookies, tried different browsers, different computers, have tried using IP-cloaking software, etc., and I have never found special offers.

Where on the page do you see this link? I've done a page search and these words do not exist on the page, so I know I'm not overlooking them, but just wondered where they can be seen if they come up.

Susan

Try this link in an InPrivate or Incognito browser session:

https://www304.americanexpress.com/credit-card/25330?linknav=us-CCSG-ProspectNav-SpecialOffers#!view-your-special-offers

It will not work correctly in a standard session if any American Express cookies are detected.

Thanks for that link, Mia. Worked for me, but only had an offer to upgrade to Platinum. I realize now that my wife's Amex is part of our corporate account, so she does not have any Amex card under her name and is probably why she is being targeted. Might call just to see. Never know if you don't ask.
