I'm flying on a 767-200 sunday from BWI to DEN. Do any seats have power ports? This is my first time branching out from USFailways to try a few different carriers.

Note that there are huge cancellations and substitutions going on, so you might not get the craft you expect. Generally, UA metal doesn't have power in back, may or may not have power in front. CO metal is more likely to have power in back. Overall, you should plan for no power, but enjoy it if you find it. njref511 Aug 10, 12, 12:37 pm Check seatguru.com for your aircraft. I'm used to having last minute equip swaps on US (To the point at one time where a flight scheduled for US metal ended up with UA metal instead). Thanks for the advice. bwiadca Aug 10, 12, 12:48 pm Are you sure about aircraft type? Continental never operated 767-200 into BWI and United had 767-300s on LAX flights. But they don't operate any widebody aircraft out of BWI for some time. njref511 Aug 10, 12, 12:52 pm Are you sure about aircraft type? My apologies on the typo. *757-200 grt Aug 10, 12, 1:12 pm This is one of my pet peeves. I used to see a number of 757-200's with power ports in FC two or three years ago (and I used to get upgraded more often, but that's another story). Now, according to https://sites.google.com/site/unitedfleetsite/mainline-fleet-tracking there seem to be only one domestic non-ps 757-200 with power. Power is really important for my usual SFO-BOS run. Whenever I get a UA survey, I mention this issue. To no avail! FlyinHawaiian Aug 10, 12, 1:26 pm If it's a legacy United 757, I wouldn't expect in-seat power. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/united-mileage-plus-pre-merger/726191-consolidated-empower-laptop-power-united-airlines-thread-merged.html shortkidd Aug 10, 12, 3:27 pm This is one of my pet peeves. UA has always been the last airline to implement power on their aircraft which has been a real PIA!!! Now they are the last to implement WIFI, but if your lucky and fly CO metal you can watch directv. NO thanks to that either!!! |
