Finland may have an alcohol monopoly, but their flagship store sometimes manages to surprise. These puppies from left to right are: Jeroboam, Methuselah, Salamanazar, and Nebuchadnezzar.

That reminds me I've got a bottle of Taittinger 1996 I've got to do something with eventually. Picked it up in Reims as a gift, and forgot about it. I've just never developed a taste for Brut Champagne. I much prefer a demi-sec, or even a Poire Granit.

Well, we know it wasn't a Nebuchadnezzar, because those puppies weigh 84 pounds.
And sadly because of the stupid liquid ban you can't take any of these as carry-ons ... :(
But if you could it'd be one hell of a party on the plane! :p

I love the Brut Champagne and quite enjoyed the Taittinger tour in Reims back in June. ^

I have been part of a group that opened and consumed a Nebuchadnezzar. Very festive.

Haven't had the chance, but it is on by bucket list. Given a decent crowd, the price is not exorbitant.
Cheers,
