7 Days return? No MR material
NYC1K, you seem to be posting this to everyone's posts these days. The reality is this thread is for a lot more than just 1 day flights. While you may not be interested, I'm not sure what this tactic brings to the community.
Thank you to the OP (although this price isnt that good).

Agreed, there are many ways to do a MR -- even though this is more of a VR (vacation run) it's a really good fare.
Might be good to emphasize the stay requirement, just as a point of info, even in the title maybe.... as most on this board are likely looking for 0 to 1 night stays.

Thank you as I was about to say the same thing. May we suggest a sticky in the MR section defining what most FT'ers are looking for in MR post?
Quick turnaround time (it's ok if the flying time is 1+ days- like doing EWR-SIN-EWR in three to four days)
Cheap fares compared to the yearly average (under 0.04cpm e.t.c)
;);)

In NYC1K's defense, there's also the "Good Deals" in Economy Class (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/mileage-run-deals/1297067-good-deals-economy-class-excellent-fares-between-certain-city-pairs-2012-a.html) thread, which is an option for flights that don't earn miles, have higher cpm, or require longer minimum stays.

Decent deal....thanks for posting!
There's no point in telling people this is not MR material, as there are no parameters/guidelines provided by FT that clearly define *what* exactly is good MR material. In the mean time, the options are to either post in the "Good Deals" in Economy Class thread, or post here in the MR forum. Unless/until there are forum guidelines that define specific cpm or other guidelines, neither the MR forum or the Good Deals thread are the wrong place for these types of deals, and nobody should personally be flamed for posting in either location. Just my two cents :)

Sorry, you are wrong on this one, the tiltle of this page specifically say "Mileage Run deals", anything more than a day or two or over 4cpm is NOT mileage run deals.

To me and many of us here would that is very annoying for someone post on mileage run deals without stating there is a 7 days minimum stay ! :td:

Unfortunately, the Good fares deals thread is cluttered with people not posting fares but talking about other things (how to use Matrix, etc.)
I find it annoying to have people snarkily posting the same thing over and over again in response to every thread they don't find useful. Everyone has a different conception of a good MR fare.
The official description of this forum is as follows:
"The place to post airfare deals conducive to mileage running, including possible pricing errors and unusually low fares. Note: Weekly or other regularly posted fare sales are generally not considered unusually good deals."
In no way does it suggest it must be a short trip. Under the "too long a trip" guidance, a $150 r/t transatlantic flight that required a 4 night stay shouldn't be posted here.
Just be nicer to each other, geez.

Man this is good! Any word on matches from other airlines? Would prefer AA or UA. That's a long time on domestic coach for me.

It could still be a low CPM if you have free nights or points to use and just want a good air fare to HNL. I personally have been looking for just that so I appreciate the OP's efforts. And I HATE the good deals thread because it's too cluttered. Sorry but I think a MR is subjective and if you don't like it, why not just move on and not torment a poster who's trying to help and has helped some (like me).

again i've been monitoring lots of lower cheaper fares from east coast in the mid to low 500s mostly for fall travel...Hopefully we will get one of these sub 500 rates soon(today on kayak explore i saw a 470 to Knoxville)

Actually, the guidelines for what is appropriate for the Mileage Run Deals forum are posted in this sticky: Welcome to the Mileage Run Forum - Important information how the MR forums work (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/mileage-run-deals/454485-welcome-mileage-run-forum-important-information-how-mr-forums-work.html), but people tend to post here without bothering to read it. :(
The sticky recommends the "Good Deals" thread for any MRs that cost more than 3cpm (although personally I think that is a bit low, considering the somewhat higher fares this year).

if we stick to the 3cpm rule, there won't be many posts to this forum
while I long for the days past when you could get a transcon for sub 3cpm, those days are generally gone except for a spot hit here and there
just like prices over time, this forum needs to be adjusted as to what a good MR cpm really is
we can't sit here and say only sub 3cpm is a good MR anymore
