Hi all,

I'm looking at booking an Economy Saver flight in Europe for Lufthansa between Italy and Germany. However, there's a chance I'll miss my return flight due to personal reasons.

I looked at the fare conditions and found this gem:
This fare is only valid if the flights are taken in the booked sequence. Otherwise the fare will be recalculated based on the actual flight routing.

Does this mean that if I miss my return flight, they'll charge me based on individual 'one-way' ticket pricing? I don't mind missing out on the return leg, I just don't want to get charged the penalty for missing it in case I get delayed.

Has anyone had experience missing a return flight and did you get charged for it?

Thank you!

you may get better response if you post this in the LH board

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but since Economy Saver is a non-changeable ticket, by missing your exact return leg, you'll be forced to buy a new ticket altogether.

EDIT: Sorry, didn't get the question right the first time around. Just keep quiet about it and you should be OK. And of course, what I said above still applies.

You should be ok if you simply do a no-show and don't cancel/try to change the return leg or ask for a refund. Check this recent thread.
