In case you're travelling to Italy and have bookings with Wind Jet: it's collapsing and passengers are suffering severe delays and cancellations. The airline may be grounded soon.

Alitalia is offering flat fares on additional special flights to support travellers. In Italy is the peak of the high season.

Most italian airlines offer rescue fares, while Livingston even starts new one- or few-time flights to match the routes which Windjet had to fly in the next weeks.

I'd be curious who is going to pick up their flights from CTA. I'd like to see LH expand as ever since Air One merger(?) with Alitalia their has been limited *A flights into CTA. I've had to relegate to flying to Rome and then getting a separate Alitalia ticket to CTA of late and would like to go back to a single alliance.

Indeed... Does LH maybe fly CTA-MUC? I guess *A sends most of traffic to PMO.
On the other side, would *A be interested in serve this market? Must make sense financialwise.
Other than that, I believe AB has connections down to CTA, not sure how the schedules fit to offer decent connections in Germany.

I've been begging for years. UA even took CTA off the route map after merging with CO.
Brussels airlines has been spotty at best (and service sucked) and Austrian is seasonal and hard to get a connection on for me. So yes, more Star please at CTA please!
I'm almost always via FCo or MXP now, though BA had some good gatwick fares late last summer. Now they seem 4-5 times higher...
