Hi all,

Does anybody know this ? It was announced for September at the time of the large negative changes for M&M Value earlier this year, but no news since.

Thank you.

The date is Sep 1 (2012). Oneways on intergrated partners are supposed to be online then and other partners can also be booked as one ways for 50% of a RT.

I spoke to the LX SEN hotline and was also told all the new features should be online on 01SEP, including partner awards and one-way awards.

I was not sure about the partner awards being available online as well, but the agent confirmed that we would be able to book online:

- M&M airlines returns and one ways
- Partner airlines returns and one ways

So I guess, we'll see what we shall see on 01SEP. It would be a major improvement if we could book everything online in the future! ^

Of course when M&M introduced these changes they announced on the same day a sharp increase in redemption rates and they devalued our miles to the max.

To put it slightly more eloquently than goliath: Nah...

They only announced OW for integrated carriers at 50% with the increase in mileage you mention. They announced OW on partners with HON on business only and Z-fare mileage decrease & SEN 100k for DE enhancement round.

So, what does this mean for partner * Gold? Will we now be able to book F with miles as of 9/1/12 or will open seats still be restricted until (if lucky) a week or so before the flight date?

Thanks for translating my  (huh?) into a full sentence (nah...)! ;)

I don't think anything will change in terms of availabilty to *A redemptions using other FFP miles (if that was your question).

Sorry, I couldn't resist... I'm actually looking forward for online OW & partner OW awards.

I wouldn't get too excited... methinks we will only see the ability to book OW awards on integrated partners online, and no other partners.

That's what I think as well. However, the agent I talked to last week seemed pretty sure that we would also see the ability to book all *A partners online.

That's what I have been told by Melbourne, AU agents when asking about it. Wanted to do SYD-ICN-FRA and FAR-SIN-MEL as two one way awards (cannot be done as three region) and was told it won't ever be possible...

So in practice what we'll be getting is the ability to book OW direct awards, as we can already book one way connecting awards in the current tool [at least Intra-Europe]. Not much to look forward to...
Any speculation if:
Fly smart OW at half price will be part of the offering?
Pay with miles the taxes portion on Intra EU at half the miles?

Any news on this as of now?

What's 'integrated partners'? The LH group?

+ LO and anyone else using M&M as their FFP. I never really understood if this includes Luxair, too.

The online booking for OW's is active... But not for all *A airlines, for OW's involving the other airlines you still need to call.

You can book online flight award tickets for the entire route networks of Adria Airways, Austrian Airlines Group, Brussels Airlines, Condor (Economy only), Croatia Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa and SWISS at any time of year.

So should I ignore this quote then in the T&C:

..
1.2 One way flight awards
Generally, flight awards are booked as round trips. In a departure from this, flight awards can also be booked only for one direction (one way flight award). Please note that one way flight awards can only be booked on flights operated by Adria Airways, Austrian Airlines Group, Brussels Airlines, Croatia Airlines, Condor (only Economy), LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa and SWISS.

This applies to flights on the following airlines: Adria Airways, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Croatia Airlines, Condor, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa and SWISS.

Well, I found out tht LH wants a SIN-x/HKG-YVR ticket classified as a 3 region ticket even if it's just for connecting!

Decided not to bother.

No news there, this rule has been around for years and it didn't change just because we are allowed to book one-way awards on partner airlines now. @:-)
