Other North & South America Frequent Flyer Programs - Lots of Spirit miles I never use. Help.

I have over 47K Spirit miles. I maintain a Spirit Master Card and pay the $59 every year since their policy is to let the miles expire unless you continue to charge something on the card every month.

I have no plan to use the miles in the foreseeable future.

My options as I see them are:
- Keep using the card for a small purchase monthly and keep paying the fee until the time comes when hopefully I will want to use the miles
- Cancel the card and lose the miles

Can anybody here come up with any better ideas?

Thanks.

No. It's a good plan for Spirit, unfortunately... Or try to redeem those miles for whatever they let you:mad:

Cut bait. Kill the card and let the miles go if you've got no plans to use them.

Can they be transferred?

You can book a flight for someone else with those miles.... that's the only other option I know of.

No transfers and nothing else to redeem them for but Spirit flights.

You and 8 of your friends could book a RT flight off peak on weird days to whatever destination they have left in the incredibly small selection of award seats... :D
