So if I search for flights for 2 people (PHL-LAS on 11/7/12, returning 11/12/12) it shows a fare for the flights I want at $328. If I try the same exact search for 3 people, the fares for the same exact flights goes up to $371! What gives?? Another awesome quirk by US IT??
If I call will they be able to get me the correct price?

Could be a US IT quirk or your could be buying the last two seats in a particular fare bucket and the third ticket is getting priced at a slightly higher fare. And I don't think I have ever seen the US site quote two fares at one price ("only two seats left at this price") and then offer the third at the higher fare...

I assume you are looking at the 5:50 PM flight on the 12th for your return. If that's the case, there are only two seats in the S fare bucket remaining. When you try to buy three tickets it prices all of them at the next higher fare bucket since there aren't three seats available in S.
Only way to get around it is to buy the two at the lower fare and then buy a single ticket at the higher fare.

Thanks!
I ended up buying two at the lower fare and then using miles for the 3rd. No biggie. Ah well. I like our chances of getting upgraded anyway by booking them separate! ;-)
