I have a question about a complex routing with lots of city segments, if a flight is delayed and you miss a connection does the carrier have to still move all your segments or can they force route you a more direct route (you lose your milage run?)

I am a little nervious about having a 6+ stop round trip that starts and finished at the same place :)

if its 1 ticket, you can ask for orc [orig rout credit for mi & segs] if not rerouted on the same itin.....

what carrier?

Do you know if all carriers will offer orc? I most often fly AS, DL, UA.

Can you request ORC for weather delays? I thought it had to be IROPS issue...

there is also the trip in vain situation, where wx or irrops delays the flight & you will miss the meeting....

i have no personal info on these items since the 1980/90s.....maybe someone will chime in w/up to date info....
