Flying soon with partner from UK - Manchester to Las Vegas via Philadelphia on US Airways after stopover on to Phoenix then stopover and on to San Diego.
After final stopover return from San Diego to Manchester via Philadelphia.
All flights on same ticket.
Last year had a similar US trip on American Airlines with stopovers and paid no baggage fees for internal legs due to the trip being treated as UK/US one ticket trip and recall a few years ago another trip on the same basis.
This time baggage from UK/Phil/LV and SD/Phil/UK is free but LV/Phx and Phx/SD legs face being charged $25 per bag x 4 = $100.
Was I just lucky previously or has anyone avoided US Airways charges due to having one similar through ticket?
