Whats typically the meal lineup for this flight? I see that its Dinner/Breakfast. Why is breakfast served the flight arrives later in the day? Also how do snacks usually work with Air NZ is it prepared snacks from a menu or is one of those grab and go type set ups in the galley? Thanks for a first time Air NZ flyer.

If you're talking about NZ38, it departs LHR at 21:05 and arrives HKG at 16:10.
Most people would consider this to be a night flight and would be trying to get a "night's sleep". Therefore, I expect the meal on awakening would be more likely to be breakfast than any other meal. (I'll be on this flight in October.)
I can't give a definite answer about the snacks - in Y they are usually a small packet of savoury biscuits or nuts, handed out with the pre-dinner drinks.

In BP the first meal is a supper (or dinner) and the 2nd meal is breakfast whcih is served about 1 1/2 - 2 hours prior to arrival in Hkg. The reason it is breakfast is that nearly all of the paxs are on European time and their body clocks tell them it is breakfast time (and the majority have slept for most of the flight). There is no snack menu, but a selection of lite snacks (biscuits, fresh fruit, choc bars, snack bars, cavasa chips) will be on display. Hot noodle cups may also be available.
