Club Carlson - How long to transfer to UA miles?

So I redeemed 27,000 UA miles and 36,000 AA miles on July 14th through Club Carlson. AA miles posted within the week. UA miles have not. I have reward flights that I need to book ASAP and would like to save the <21 day fee if possible. I called CC. They said the points were converted and "posted" July 14th, and should take 4-6 weeks to post to miles account. I wouldn't be so agitated if AA miles wouldn't have posted so quickly!! It has now been 3 1/2 weeks.

I called UA and they said miles post from CC once a month.
(but UA has no idea nor can tell me anything of the status of these miles, I asked a MP supervisor and she thought Club Carlaon was a credit card, bleh), also said to ask CC to make one time exception)

CC says miles post every Thursday. They Have no idea of the status of my miles, said cannot do anything.

I'm assuming I have no other choice except to wait. <21 day fee comes Thursday. Any advice or am I stuck waiting? Any other experience on wait times? Why did AA post SO quickly!

Each airline have their own IT processing times and as such, even though they may receive the info from various hotel groups, they post differently... once the miles leave CC, there is no way to expedite the process. They're just in the 'system'.

Unfortunately, United miles are extremely slow to post. I've sent transfers from CC to most programs, and they usually show up within a few weeks, sometimes within a few days. United can take 6 weeks or more. My understanding is that CC only transmits data to United once a month, with a generous cutoff, and then United takes it's sweet time -sometimes weeks- to post. If you just missed a transfer cutoff (and you might have, because I had a posting last weekend of a 7/8 transfer, but not a 7/12 transfer), you might be lucky to get your miles at all before your intended travel dates. Very frustrating process!

That is so disappointing, thank you for your input it is exactly what I was looking for (the experience, not the bad news) blah ... Trying to get two people from Lima to up here near New York. My fingers are crossed ... Until then I will keep checking, thanks

Redeemed on UA on 7/9/12 miles posted on 8/4/12.

7/9 redeem and 8/4 post .... Ugh I just hope it is case by case basis because both a 8/28&9/4 posting would suck. Thanks, anybody else's experience would be telling & FYI for future redeemers

The two posted timeframes suggest "Saturday three weeks forward", but with that as a rule your miles should've posted 8/4 as well, but maybe the transfers from CC are processed with different intervals.

It's rather common though that transfers and such are done in batches scheduled at the same time every month/week/day depending on frequency, so with an extremely small sample to judge by, I'd wager your points will post on a Saturday...

My redemption of July 14th just credited. Now waiting on July 29th, August 5th and August 6th's :-)

Thank you all very much for sharing your experiences - I just found this thread looking for an answer to this question and I gather from the responses that the transfer I initiated last week will definitely not arrive in time for me to beat the 21 day deadline on an upcoming flight. When they do post, I will try to remember to come back here and share in an attempt to help figure out the exact pattern.

Need to book a flight for next Fri (12/7). Want to convert CC points to UA miles today. Is this even worth trying, or is there 0% chance it'll post in time?

Trying to keep FILs UA miles alive and thought of transferring 2000 CC points from my CC account to get 250 UA miles in his. His mileage expiration date is 3/31.

Question:
1. Can a person transfer miles from his CC account to another individual's United account? Or do the names have to match?
2. Assuming, someone here verifies that its possible, is this even worth trying given the long time its taking to get them across

Would appreciate some insight.

Avoid any naming issues altogether by transferring points to a Club Carlson account in his name and then transferring to UA.
